About Us: Team

For more than a decade, one of the nation’s most progressive compounding pharmacies has been revitalizing minds and bodies right here in Tucson, Arizona. Founded by registered pharmacist and Certified Clinical Nutritionist, David Nicoletti, Prescription Lab Compounding Pharmacy offers a complete set of professional compounding services, over the counter nutraceuticals, personal consultations, anti-aging solutions, and most of all, helpful information. “That’s one of the biggest reasons people come to Prescription Lab,” David reports. “Every single member of our staff is a trained, certified professional. Whether it’s a question about your prescription, a supplement, or what to do next in the quest to optimize your performance, Prescription Lab is a place people come for answers.”

In addition to medical and veterinary compounding, the pharmacists, technicians and advisors at Prescription Lab operate at the leading edge of science and technology in the areas of bio-identical hormone replenishment, pain management, cognitive enhancement, hypothyroidism, energy disorders, immune support, and cosmeceuticals. “The genie is out of the bottle,” David continues. “The technology of the future has arrived, and it’s at your disposal. If you want to enhance the way you feel, think, look, and live, there’s just one thing to do: come to the Lab.”

DavidDavid Nicoletti

Ask David Nicoletti why he became a compounding pharmacist and he’ll answer with a smile. “There’s no better feeling in the world than helping someone in need. The motivation for me has always been the same – take what I know and use it to help solve problems.” His pharmacy is built from the ground up to do just that. “We compound prescriptions, so there’s an obvious correlation there with dispensing medicines that help people deal with illness. But I’ve always said, the thing we dispense more than anything at the Lab is information. And in the world of age management, information is power.” Prescription Lab is one of the nation’s most progressive compounding pharmacies, with a focus on staying current with advances in science and technology. “This is a unique time in history: there’s more information about health and wellness, available right at our fingertips, than ever before. Sorting through all of that can be a little daunting, so we’ve assumed the role of advisor. We designed Prescription Lab to be an island of clarity amidst all the confusion.” From developing a proprietary certification program for his team of health advisors, to crafting engaging, informative information tools, David’s made good on his promise to provide answers, along with easy to follow solutions. “All this technology won’t help anyone while it’s still in the bottle. Our mission is to match people with the products that will help them achieve their wellness goals, and show them how easy it is to revitalize mind and body.”

Every product, service and printed word you’ll find at Prescription Lab has received David’s stamp of approval. “I’m very hands on, but for me, that’s just the way it has to be. Physicians, patients and customers have placed their trust in Prescription Lab. It’s up to me and the talented people around me to maintain that trust by keeping a very close watch on everything we do.”

David has a BS in Pharmacy from the University of Buffalo, NY, and has been a pharmacy owner since 1977. He is a Certified Clinical Nutritionist, a Fellow of the International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists, and a Fellow of the American College of the Apothecaries. He is currently the President of the International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists, and a vocal member of their Public Affairs Committee.

DianeDiane Nicoletti

All great teams have a great captain, and for Prescription Lab, that’s a role filled beautifully by Diane Nicoletti. As the General Manager of Prescription Lab, her days are spent overseeing and guiding every operational aspect of the pharmacy. “There are lots of moving parts in this business, and it’s definitely a challenge to keep all the wheels turning at the right pace,” she comments. “But David and I insist on recruiting only the best, most talented people. When you’re surrounded by this level of talent and professionalism, it makes the job a lot easier.” Diane is very versatile, blessed with the ability to change hats at a moment’s notice. “I could be on the phone working with a physician one minute, out front with a patient the next, and then back in the lab with a technician after that. But that’s the part of my job that I love – you just don’t know where you’ll be needed next.” Diane is a Licensed Pharmacy Technician, and has 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical compounding and health and wellness arenas. Her expertise is fueled by certification and training from the Professional Compounding Centers of America, and active membership in the International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists.

Jane RosenbaumJane

Jane is a Doctor of Pharmacy and Director of Pharmacy at Prescription Lab. She specializes in Bio-Identical Hormone Replenishment, consulting with patients and doctors to formulate hormone therapy treatments. In person and through the radio, newsletters and even a weekly newspaper column, Jane is Prescription Lab’s hormone spokeswoman. “As a woman with two grown daughters, I’ve been through life’s changes, so I can truly relate to our patients and what they’re going through. That’s an important part of the Prescription Lab advantage,” Jane explains. “We can honestly say, we’ve been there, we know what you’re going through, and we’re going to help you feel better every day.” Jane conducts one-on-one consultations on women’s health, focusing on menopause, hormone replenishment, and overcoming the symptoms of PMS. “And hormones are just part of the story at the Lab. Dana Kurland

Dana is a registered pharmacist, and Prescription Lab’s resident expert on osteoporosis. Dana provides one-on-one osteoporosis consultations, sharing the latest information on risk factors, assessment tools, and solutions for building and maintaining strong bones. “Osteoporosis is one of those misunderstood diseases,” Dana explains. “As a result, cases are rising dramatically.” With the support of the pharmacists and nutritionists at the Lab, Dana has embarked on a mission to reduce the osteoporosis case rate in their community. “I’ve seen and experienced the devastating effects of bone disease, and Prescription Lab is dedicated to sharing what we know with anyone who’s willing to listen. It’s a message that could very well change your life.” Dana is a member of the National Osteoporosis Foundation, the nation’s leading voluntary health organization devoted to enhancing our nation’s bone health, and finding a cure for osteoporosis. Rosalee Abbott-Seder

A registered pharmacist for twenty years, Rosalee is Prescription Lab’s Nutrition and Pain Management Consultant. She conducts one-on-one consultations with patients where nutrition takes center stage. “In a perfect world, we would all eat right all of the time, and our foods would provide all the nutrition we need. In the real world, that’s not the case. So I’m here to show you how to help optimize your health through diet and supplementation.” The key word there is “optimize.” Prescription Lab’s slogan of “revitalizing mind and body” fits Rosalee’s philosophies and approach perfectly. “Optimized health is a lot more than not being sick. It’s being sure all of your systems are functioning at their peak. That means you have plenty of energy, a balanced mood, healthy skin, a sharp mind, and good, restful sleep.” Rosalee excels at identifying problem areas and developing solutions that put patients closer to that optimized state. Her consultations begin with testing, which provides her with a detailed snapshot of thirty critical nutritional areas. From there, a custom protocol is developed and the path to optimization begins. “I really enjoy interacting one-on-one with patients, listening, testing, and then working together to get results. It’s a very, very rewarding line of work.”
When she’s not compounding or consulting, Rosalee is out speaking with physicians and health care professionals, spreading the word to the medical community about Prescription Lab, and what they have to offer. “We’re so much more than just another compounding pharmacy and part of my role is to be sure that word gets out. The pharmacists at the Lab can discuss dosing, formulations, drug interactions, side effects, and more with physicians,” she explains. “We’re a great resource for physicians, whether they’re compounding veterans, or have never written a compounded prescription. The physician-patient-pharmacist triad is alive and well at Prescription Lab, and we know that the more information we share, the more we can help our patients reach their personal wellness goals.”

Rosalee has a BS in Pharmacy from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, and is an active member of several pharmacy organizations, including the Pharmacy Compounding Centers of America and the International Association of Compounding Pharmacists.

DeniseDenise Hopkins, Pharmacy Manage

Walk into Prescription Lab’s compounding facility and you’ll witness a flurry of activity, as skilled technicians compound custom prescriptions with speed and precision. Orchestrating that activity is the Lab’s long-time Manager, Denise Hopkins. With nearly twenty years of compounding experience, Denise is a Certified Pharmacy Technician who has literally seen it all. “The business has really evolved over the years, and Prescription Lab is always right on the leading edge of that evolution. That’s one of the reasons I love working here.” Aside from her vast technical expertise, Denise is a born leader, and one of the friendliest, happiest people you’ll ever meet. “I discovered a long time ago that a smile goes a long way. It’s one of the ways we maintain such high productivity here – the technicians know that no matter what’s happening, we’re going to keep things light and positive.” Denise’s demeanor is so warm and infectious she’s also a regular on the phones. “If she wasn’t so valuable in the Lab, we’d just as soon have her speak with people on the phone all day,” reports Diane Nicoletti, the Lab’s General Manager. “She’s smart, she’s talented, she’s upbeat – Denise is simply the consummate pro,” Diane continues. “You couldn’t ask for a better voice to represent your company, literally and figuratively.”

Tami

One of Prescription Lab’s Certified Health Advisors, Tami brings a special set of skills to her daily duties at the pharmacy. “My education included an emphasis on management, human resources and psychology – and I lean on each of those disciplines to help our customers.” Tami’s responsibilities range from ordering and inventory tracking to resolving customer issues and keeping the retail side of the business humming. But the best part of her job is the personal interaction. “I’ve always thrived in roles where I can interface with people, and working with customers to develop personal solutions is what Prescription Lab is all about.” A native of Tucson, Tami also takes every opportunity to practice what she preaches. “I exercise, eat right and take good care of my body. It’s always just come naturally for me, and after all, that’s the message we share with people every day.”

Sara Thompson

Prescription Lab’s Product Manager and a Licensed Pharmacy Technician, Sara brings a wealth of knowledge to her duties at the Lab. Now a four-year veteran at Prescription Lab, Sara has embraced the pharmacy’s philosophy of sharing the latest wellness information with the people who walk through the doors. “It took me a little while to get up to speed,” Sara confesses. “There is so much information and expertise here, and to be the one that’s answering the questions was almost scary. People just expect to get an answer here, so I had a little catching up to do.” And now? “I know it sounds like a cliché, but I really do love coming to work every day. All it took was one success story – a patient and I discussed some solutions, they made a purchase, and actually came back a few months later to tell me how happy they were. That was it – I was hooked.” Sara is a Certified Health Advisor, and spends most days working directly with the Lab’s steady stream of curious customers.

Christine Cuneo

One of Prescription Lab’s veterans, Chris has been with the Lab since 2000. Her long tenure is matched only by her knowledge and tremendous versatility. At various times through her storied run at the Lab, Chris has applied her talents as both a technician in the compounding lab, and as a Certified Health Advisor out front. “The two jobs couldn’t be more different,” Chris explains. “When you’re compounding prescriptions, you’ve got to be completely focused on the task at hand, with your eyes and your attention on the equipment. Working with customers in the retail store is the complete opposite – eyes up, listening, talking, and engaging people in conversations, so you can help guide them to the solutions that make the most sense. The best part is, I get to do both.” Chris is a Licensed Pharmacy Technician, and a wellness enthusiast. Her knowledge of nutraceuticals is so deep, many of the Lab’s regulars ask for her by name. We encourage you to do the same.
